The Importance of Debt Management

Helping customers to manage debt issues is important work. Financial difficulty can represent a source of stress for many and the cost of uncollected debt is a cost borne by the wider community.  Our role is to keep bad debt to a minimum helping everyone in the process. Whatever the reason a customer has fallen into financial difficulty we are on-hand to provide non-judgemental help and support and to make that debt a thing of the past.  By working with us many thousands of customers are now happily debt free – something we are very proud of.

We know some people may wonder who Bluestone is or why we have their personal data and we fully understand that this may be a concern. Bluestone’s work means that the business may be working on behalf of the original lender or supplier or may have purchased a portfolio of accounts from the original lender. In all circumstances, the team at Bluestone is focused exclusively on resolving any account issued amicably and in a way that is affordable to each person.

Over the business for many years, its personal service, human approach and commitment to transparency has seen the business selected by some of the largest lenders in the UK and Government agencies. Invariably, selection follows a rigorous process.

Account Management

Bluestone manages the servicing and arrears management of live portfolios on behalf of a client, who retains ownership of the account.

Debt Purchase

Some clients choose to sell on their debts to a third-party organisation, subject to careful due diligence. Bluestone, as a well-established and respected debt management business is an active purchaser of such debt portfolios. Having purchased such debt, Bluestone becomes the owner of that debt as well as the organisation seeking to resolve the historic issues that have led to customers falling into arrears.
